Thomas Knapik, LHFA
Executive Director
Tom has been the Executive Director at Autumn Glen since 2008. He is
responsible for overseeing daily operations of the community, ensuring
high quality care and services are provided to residents and achieving
high resident satisfaction. Tom has led Autumn Glen to achieve corporate
“Platinum” status, an award of excellence, while maintaining near 100%
occupancy and perfect State surveys. Under Tom's leadership, Autumn Glen
received its second consecutive "Deficiency Free" Survey from the
Indiana State Department of Health. Before becoming a licensed Indiana
Health Facility Administrator, Tom spent 8 years as an airline pilot and
23 years in the U.S. Air Force flying 747 and DC-10 Jumbo Jets. He
retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Tom holds numerous decorations and is a
Vietnam era and Gulf War veteran. Tom attended Indiana University and
earned his Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology. He also attended
U.S. Air Force pilot training. Tom resides in Carmel, Indiana with his
wife and 3 children.
Linda Wihebrink
Dietary Service Director
Linda has been the Dietary Service Director at Autumn Glen since 2002.
She is responsible for overseeing the Dietary Department and
makes delicious and nutritious home-cooked meals from scratch every day
for our residents using only the freshest ingredients. Our residents
enjoy a five-star dining experience lead by Linda filled with a rich
assortment of menu options. In collaboration with our Registered
Dietician, Linda incorporates resident’s personal recipes, special
requests, old time favorites and specific dietary needs so our well
balanced gourmet menus are designed with their health, personal tastes
and preferences in mind. Understanding how important great food is to
our residents, Linda is consistently introducing exciting new cuisines
for the community to enjoy. Linda previously worked in the food industry
owning a restaurant and managing fast food franchises. She attended
University of Indianapolis. Linda resides in Indianapolis with her
husband and has 3 children and 12 grandchildren.
Lori Zink, LPN
Wellness Director
Lori has been the Wellness Director at Autumn Glen since 2009. She is
responsible for overseeing resident health care services, the medication
delivery system and in-service training of the Health Services
Department. Lori was previously Autumn Glen’s Charge Nurse and has been
in the health care industry for over 11 years. She has experience in
Oncology, Medical Surgery, Acute Care and Long Term Care. Lori is
certified in IV therapy pic, ports and central lines, trachs and T.P.N.
feedings. Lori specializes in Alzheimer’s / dementia, psychiatric. She
attended Ivy Tech. Lori is a member of the National Honors Society, Chancellors List, Deans List and Phi Theta Kapa Officer.
Sheila Taylor
Life Enrichment Coordinator
Sheila has been the Life Enrichment Coordinator at Autumn Glen since
2009. She is responsible for planning and coordinating
community-sponsored activity, exercise and wellness programs for
residents. Sheila has been in the health care industry for over 20
years. She was certified as an Activity Director in 1986 and completed
specialized training for Alzheimer’s and related memory disorders.
Sheila attended Indiana University School of Continuing Studies. Sheila
resides on the North side of Indianapolis and has a daughter who is
following in her footsteps in the healthcare industry as a nurse.
Sally Moore
Community Relations Director
Sally has been the Community Relations Director at Autumn Glen since
2006. She is responsible for sales and marketing and has helped numerous
families find placement for their loved ones. Sally has worked in the
health care industry for over 20 years. Sally previously owned one the
largest art galleries in the Indianapolis Art District, was an Art
Therapist for the Marion County Health Care Center and a licensed
program director for Adult Day Care and Alzheimer’s units. Sally was one
of the first to implement the 3-step program with the Indiana School of
Medicine for people with Alzheimer’s and memory related disorders. She
attended John Heron School of Art, IV Tech and has a degree in Art and
Recreational Therapy. Sally is a licensed Realtor and an art and jewelry
designer. She resides in a lake house on Fishers Indiana with her
husband, three cats and a parrot.
Laura Dennis
Housekeeping Director
Laura has been the Housekeeping Director at Autumn Glen since 2008. She
is responsible for keeping our resident’s homes and surroundings in a
clean and safe condition. Laura is a self-motivated achiever who simply
gets the job done. As a former certified nursing aid who has always
loved seniors (and especially the seniors of Autumn Glen), she enjoys
fishing, camping, gardening and just about anything pertaining to the
great outdoors. She collects Porcelain Dolls, Carousels, roosters and
old iron cookware. She also collects children and grandchildren. Laura
lives on the East side of Indianapolis with her husband. When asked what
she likes most about herself, she replied “just being useful.”
Dawn Adams
Maintenance Director
Dawn has been the Maintenance Director at Autumn Glen since 2005. She is
responsible for maintenance, repairs and improvements to our residents’
home. Dawn loves working and interacting with our residents and
families on a daily basis to ensure our residents are safe and happy.
Dawn is a journeyman roofer and has several years of experience painting
and framing. Dawn has continuing study credits in a variety of
courses.
Barbara Bennett
Office Manager
Barbara has been the Office Manager at Autumn Glen since 2009. She is
responsible for maintaining day-to-day business office operations and
procedures, including payroll, rent deposits and resident billing. For
the previous 2 decades, Barbara worked in the corporate office of a
management company that owned and operated numerous skilled nursing
facilities and other businesses across central and southern Indiana. In
addition to being a certified bookkeeper, Notary Public and experienced
property sales manager, she has managed a wide spectrum of businesses
including condominiums and multi-family. Originally from Shelbyville
Indiana, Barbara was raised on the family farm. She currently resides on
the south side of Indianapolis with her dog Vinnie. She has a daughter
and son. Her time at home is spent exercising, reading and socializing
with friends and neighbors. You will know Barbara by her smile.
